1. Keeping one's own world views in mind while drafting a paper can reap many benefits. Although it may not be in Standard English, in most cases this is what a paper should contain, it will be full of passionate responses in the diction rooted from someone's own area of origin. The United States of America has a very diverse population with cultural influences spanning the globe.
2. Students that enter college with an open mind will have a much better chance at keeping both an academic world view along with the ones they've developed before entering the academic world of college. Those with a more rigid structure in how they were raised will obviously have more difficulty.
